A Season Of Thanks

The upcoming months are sure to be filled with the warmth of gatherings with family and friends. Whether you’re celebrating a national holiday, a cultural event, or a religious occasion, the company of loved ones always makes this season a little extra special. It’s during this time of the year that we pause to think about everything we’re thankful for, and for us at Spring Brook Ice & Fuel, that begins with you!

You can’t stay in business for over one hundred years without recognizing the people who have made it possible. It is your trust in us that has created a century’s long bond between Spring Brook Ice & Fuel and the communities throughout Central Connecticut. 

Committed to the Community

In addition to supplying Greater Hartford County with year-round comfort services, we give back by sponsoring and volunteering at various community events. October was a busy month for us at Spring Brook!

On Saturday, October 5, we sponsored and volunteered at the Rotary Club of New Britain-Berlin’s 5K Fun Run, 1-Mile Fitness Walk, and Children’s Costume Parade at Stanley Quarter Park. The event drew over 70 registered runners and helped raise $15,000, which will be used to purchase paddleboats and maintain the recreation area. Of course, the cute costumes in the children’s costume parade were a major highlight!

A few days later, on October 10, members and supporters of the CCARC community gathered for their annual celebration of their successes in support of those with intellectual or developmental disabilities. It was an extra special evening because our president, Greg Stafstrom, was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award! This proud achievement marks both Spring Brook’s and CCARC’s devotion toward empowering and supporting all adults and children to reach as high as they can.
