“Impersonal” is an understatement when we deal with most businesses these days.
Try to call a large organization for customer service and you could be on the phone for hours – and that’s after you respond to the prompts with whatever dates, numbers and other personal information you’re asked to provide before you even speak with an agent … who may be at a service center thousands of miles away!
Or try finding a so-called “team member” to help you in a big box store. You might walk around for what seems to be miles and never find anyone to answer your simple question: at which of the dozens of aisles can I find the item I’m looking for? You might as well give up!
Here at Spring Brook Ice & Fuel, “impersonal” is not part of our vocabulary. Our Central Connecticut customers are more than account numbers or names in a computer – they are our friends and neighbors, and part of our vibrant community.
