Spring Brook Ice & Fuel offers emergency service 365 days a year, but if your heat stops working, you may be able to get it running again and save yourself the stress of waiting for our technician to arrive!
What constitutes an emergency?
Call Spring Brook Ice & Fuel at (860) 225-6491 for the following emergency situations:
- No heat
- No hot water
- Out of oil
- Smoke or soot from equipment
What can I do to get my heating system to run before I call for emergency service?
Try these easy steps you can take on your own:
- Check that the emergency switch is "On"
- Check the fuse box or circuit panel to make sure nothing has tripped
- Check to see if you have oil in your tank (if you are on our automatic delivery plan, this should not be an issue)
- Set your thermostat 5 to 10 degrees above room temperature
- If you have an electronic thermostat, replace the batteries
- For oil-fueled systems, press the RED reset button on the safety control (on the unit) ONE time only.
If your boiler or furnace STILL isn’t up and running, or if it emits an odor or strange sound, call us immediately at (860) 225-6491 – and we’ll be up and running to your home in no time!
One more tip from Tommy … if you are enrolled in a Spring Brook Ice & Fuel service plan, you could reduce the repair costs that arise from an emergency service call … AND if you are enrolled in Service Plan 3, emergency calls are included!
